Meet The Founder
Organizational Strategist and Transformational Leader
As the founder of Averting Familiar Education (AFE), Jocelyn partners with growing, purpose-driven organizations to diagnose structural misalignment and design leadership systems that align people, purpose, and performance.
Her work focuses on helping organizations clarify role expectations, strengthen leadership pathways, and build structures that support sustainable growth, particularly during seasons of transition or expansion.
With over a decade of experience spanning K–12 education, higher education, and organizational development, Jocelyn brings a distinctive blend of academic rigor, strategic insight, and relational intelligence to her advisory practice. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, where her research examines how spiritual formation shapes leadership identity and influences organizational culture.
Her journey — from classroom teacher to university lecturer, from teen mother to founder — grounds her work in lived experience. Jocelyn believes that leadership is developmental, structure should serve vision, and the healthiest organizations are those where clarity, responsibility, and belonging reinforce one another.
